Welcome to Quinn & Heron Ltd, Solicitors in Magherafelt

Who we are.

Quinn & Heron Solicitors Limited is a general practice based in the Mid Ulster Area, and (with an extensive client base across and throughout the six counties)/providing legal services throughout the six counties.

 

Where

We have offices in Magherafelt and Coalisland that facilitates easy access to all of our customers across Mid Ulster, and further afield.

The directors, Julian Quinn & Donal Heron have worked together in Magherafelt since 2000, subsequently becoming partners in a business in 2004, before establishing the firm of Quinn & Heron Solicitors in 2011, and later incorporated to a limited company in 2016.

With that as our core principle, we provide independent impartial advice and a voice to all of our clients, whether in their personal, family or business dealings.

Meet The Team

Julian Quinn

 

Julian graduated from the University of Ulster, Jordanstown in 1996 and thereafter attended the Institute of Professional legal studies at Queens University of Belfast and admitted to the Roll of Solicitor’s in 1998.

Julian has a wide range of experience in General Practice, but concentrates on Conveyancing and Wills & Administration of Estates.

Julian has been practicing in the Magherafelt area from 2000 and has a large number and variety of private and corporate clients. He is registered on various lender’s panels for mortgages and is registered on the Solicitors panel for the Northern Ireland Co-Ownership Housing Association Scheme and the Help-to-Buy Scheme.

Donal Heron

 

Donal Heron graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 1996 and attended the attended the Institute of Professional legal studies at Queens University of Belfast and was admitted to the roll of Solicitor’s in 1998.

Donal has been practicing in Magherafelt since 1999 and has a wide range of experience to include representation of all tiers within the Criminal Justice System from police station representation to the Court of Appeal. He also deals with personal injury claims to include road traffic accidents and accidents at work, commercial litigation, employment Law, debt recovery.

Donal has a great deal of experience in Criminal and Civil cases and has a wide private client base and also has a number of commercial and corporate clients

Sarah Norrby

 

Sarah Norrby graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2016 and obtained a Masters Degree in Human Rights and Criminal Justice in 2017.

Sarah attended the Institute of Professional legal studies at Queens University of Belfast and was admitted to the roll of Solicitor’s in 2010.

Sarah joined Quinn & Heron Solicitors Ltd in 2011 and specialises in all aspects of Family Law. Sarah has represented parents in Private and public Law matters in the Family Proceedings Court, Family Care Centre and in the High Court.

Sarah is a member of the Children Order Panel and the Northern Ireland Guardian ad Litem Agency Panel.

Sarah has also gained invaluable experience in both Conveyancing and in Criminal Law, and attends Police interviews and Courts on a regular basis.

Orla McCaffrey

 

Orla graduated from the University of Ulster, Jordanstown with a degree in Law with Criminology in 2012, and thereafter attended the Institute of Professional Legal Studies in 2014 and she was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2016.

After obtaining her professional qualification, Orla practised on a temporary basis in several firms across the province covering periods of maternity leave and joined Quinn & Heron Solicitors Ltd in April 2018 on a permanent basis.

Orla has a wide range of experience in Criminal, Litigation and Matrimonial law, and has a particular interest in Transport law, having successfully completed Training and Assessment in; 'Operators Licence Awareness and International Transport Management Refresher' (OLAT). To allow her to have practical in-depth knowledge in this area she is 'walking the walk' by proactively being involved with all operational activities of a Licensed Transport Operator and more importantly gaining a better understanding of the ever-increasing demand put on Professional Drivers.

Orla has further completed training in; Drivers Hours and Use of Digital Tachographs along with Driver Daily walk around checks and defect reporting.
